Mobile financial services firm deploys vending machines in Bangladesh

BKash, a mobile financial services provider in Bangladesh, has entered the vending business with its "SnacKeeper" machine which it has installed at 64 locations in Dhaka, the country's capital city, according to a press release.

The user selects the desired items, then selects bKash as the preferred payment method. Payment will be complete after scanning the QR code, specifying the amount and entering the bKash PIN. Customers can also dial USSD code *247# to make the payment.

Product offerings include water, soft drinks, chips, chocolate, biscuits and cake.
