A refillable soap vending machine, the Soap Refill Station, has been introduced in downtown Springfield, Mo., after six years of development by local business, according to an Ozarks First report.

The unit, installed inside The Coffee Ethic coffee shop, allows customers to bring their own containers and refill them with soap, offering an alternative to single-use plastic bottles.

The Soap Refill Station is a sustainability-focused retail concept that allows customers to refill household and personal care products using reusable containers instead of buying new packaged goods.

To encourage adoption, the company is offering a limited-time discount on refills, while the host coffee shop is offering a seasonal drink promotion for customers who use the machine. The rollout reflects a growing interest in sustainability-focused vending solutions that support reuse and reduce environmental impact.
