Minnesota considers beverage container recycling

Legislators in Minnesota recently introduced a bill to establish a beverage container deposit/refund program, according to the NAMA weekly legislative wrap-up.

The bill has been referred to the committee that evaluates environmental policy. Other states where legislators have introduced new, expanded or amended bottle refund programs this year include Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington.
