A milk vending machine has been installed at the SPAR Derwent store on Penrith Road in Keswick in the U.K., offering fresh milk and milkshakes from local producer Ann Forshaw's Milk Shed, according to a News & Star report. The machine receives daily deliveries of pasteurized, non-homogenized milk from Alston Dairy in Longridge, near Preston.

This is the second SPAR store in Cumbria to feature the Milk Shed concept, following its launch at SPAR Milnthorpe last November. The machine dispenses milk in 500ml or one-liter servings for £1 and £1.60 (approximately $1.20 and $1.92 USD), respectively. Milkshakes are also available in five flavors, including chocolate and vanilla, priced at £1.80 for 500ml and £2.80 for one liter (approximately $2.16 and $3.36 USD).

"Wherever we launch an Ann Forshaw's Milk Shed, our SPAR customers love the concept, and we have high hopes that our latest launch will be lapped up by the community in Keswick," Fiona Drummond, company stores director at James Hall & Co. Ltd, told the news outlet.
