Microtronic US Announces Integration With ATGs Multifunction OFA To Service Correctional Facilities

HIGH POINT, NC -- Microtronic US announced that its contactless technology is now compatible with the Offender Funds Administration system developed by Advanced Technologies Group LLC (West Des Moines, IA). OFA is widely used by administrators of correctional institutions to manage inmate commissary transactions.

According to Microtronic, integrating its cashless payment system with OFA allows inmates to use Microtronic RFID cards as their identification badges for vending machine purchases, and at other automated points of sale, including a fountain cold-drink dispenser designed for inmates. Funds can be loaded onto the card through the user's trust account.
