Micron Smart Vending, based in Guangzhou, China, has introduced smart fridge vending machines equipped with a cloud-based intelligent vending system that allow a user to open the door by scanning a code, according to a press release.

The machines, which come in single or dual door options and a Nayax card reader, have adjustable trays with weight sensors underneath. The sensors allow the machine to sell products by weight should the operator choose this option.

The operator can check machine inventory in real time and can remotely upload advertising to a digital screen positioned above the door.

The operator can also remotely change pricing and activate or deactivate the machine cooling system.

The system also supports an age verification feature for vending alcoholic beverages.
