Michigan apartment installs 'smart fridge' machines

The Battle Creek Community Foundation, which supports small businesses in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has installed three "smart fridge" type vending machines that leverages Byte Technology's vending technology in an apartment building, according to a woodtv.com report.

One machine carries grocery products, one has quick meals on the go, and one has quick snacks.

The machines are serviced by Big Green Vending LLC in Grand Rapids.

Byte Technology provides a point-of-sale refrigerator that customers access by swiping a credit card.
