Merlin Entertainment upgrades plastic recycling partnership with Coca-Cola Great Britain

Merlin Entertainment Group, a global provider of family entertainment centers, has upgraded its plastics recycling partnership with Coca-Cola Great Britain to offer consumers the chance to win VIP marine and animal conservation focused experiences, according to a press release.

Prizes for consumers who recycle their plastic bottles in the Coca-Cola reverse vending machines now include a family VIP behind-the-scenes tour of the Sea Life Trust Cornish Seal Sanctuary in Cornwall, a shark dive at the Bear Grylls Adventure in connection with the Shark Trust, a VIP White Rhino Encounter at Chessington World of Adventures Resort in connection with the Chessington Conservation Fund, and a Green Sea Turtle feed and VIP Tour of Sea Life Manchester.

Since the launch of the initiative in 2018, Merlin has collected and recycled over 100,000 plastic bottles through the reverse vending machines.

There are currently 22 reverse vending machines across nine Merlin attractions, which allow guests to recycle any 500-milliliter plastic bottle and enter for the chance to win prizes.
