Delivery service Daily Harvest uses vending to launch ice cream

Daily Harvest, a New York City based meal delivery service, is installing outdoor vending machines to introduce its Scoops vegan ice cream, according to a vegnews.com report. The first machine is in Newport, Rhode Island and the next will be at Domino Park in Brooklyn, New York.

The machines will also play the "Scoops" jingle by Boyz II Men.

The company, which also serves smoothies, soups and flatbreads, is promoting its machines and new ice cream using airplane banners, chalk art and sand sculptures.
