Manchester, UK apartment vending machine to offer alcoholic beverages

Alcoholic beverages will be available from a vending machine at a Manchester U.K. apartment building, according to an mns.com report. The city's licensing subcommittee decided the T1 Union East Tower can provide the machine as part of an effort to accommodate young professionals.

Persons who want to use the machine will first be approved by a staff member.

Some residents expressed concern that persons under 18 will be able to use the machine. The machine, according to the report, does not verify a user's age.
