Malaysia vending operation offers low-cost beverages under government initiative

Atlas Vending, a Malaysia-based vending operation serving Malaysia and Singapore, will introduce beverages for RM1 (1.2 cents) in 3,210 vending machines as part of a government initiative to help low income residents, according to a marketingmagazine.com report.

Customers will be able to purchase PepsiBlack, Revive Isotonic and bottled mineral water for RM1.

The Ministry of Economy for Kempen Penyegar Dahaga announced the vending initiative as part of the People's Income Initiative, which also includes food vending machines.

Atlas Vending is part of Etika Sdn Bhd, a Malaysia beverage producer.
