Persons with visual impairments will soon be able to use vending machines in Malaysia thanks to machines equipped with Braille plates and other enhancements, according to a Mashable SE Asia report.

Atlas Vending, the country's largest vending operator, teamed with the Malaysian Association for the Blind on a pilot program involving 11 machines in Kuala Lumpur.

In addition to Braille plates, the machines feature motion-sensor triggered audio instructions and indicator lights.
