Live crab found snapping at people, snacks inside vending machine

Authorities are investigating two unusual incidents involving crabs in downtown Sioux City, according to a KEYC report. The first occurred at the Frances Building where a live crab was discovered inside a vending machine. The crustacean was found after multiple reports of people being "snapped at" by an unknown object within the machine.

The second incident took place at the Sioux City Public Library, where a deceased crab was found in the computer lab. Both locations are connected by a skywalk. Local wildlife officials and building management are working to determine how the crabs ended up in these locations.
