LAS VEGAS -- The National Bulk Vendors Association said that it has commissioned a short documentary to be filmed at its convention and trade show taking place next week in Las Vegas. The promotional video will run five minutes and feature interviews with NBVA members and profiles of the exhibits.
The brainchild of NBVA membership chairman George Wells, Mid-Maine Vending (Winterport, ME), the finished video will be available on the association's website and YouTube. "I thought it was a new way to reach more members and people who visit the website," Wells said. "It's a neat way to show potential members what we do and introduce them to the show."
According to association officials, the video is part of a continuing program to reach out to new members. "This is just the latest in a number of outreach efforts the association is making to introduce ourselves to potential members and communicate with current members," said the NBVA's Amy Contre. "We want to communicate our message through as many channels as we can, including Facebook, Twitter and our website."
This year's show will also feature an NBVA app to guide visitors through the show and events. Showgoers and stay-at-homes can also follow the show via Twitter -- @NatBulkVend.
Details of NBVA's 2016 convention, Mar. 15-17, may be found at nbva.org. The association's meeting and trade show are collocated with Amusement Expo International, which is owned by the Amusement and Music Operators Association and American Amusement Machine Association. AEI is managed by William T. Glasgow Inc. (Mokena, IL).
