Lieberman Companies acquires D&R Star in Minnesota

Lieberman Companies, a Bloomington, Minnesota based ATM distributor and processor that also operates an amusement machine and ATM route, has acquired Rochester, Minnesota-based D&R Star, which operates an amusement and ATM route, for an undisclosed sum, according to a press release.

D&R Star will continue to operate from its Rochester facility with the same staff and owner; Mike Hawkins will remain on as a consultant.

"Things will be business as usual for D&R customers," Dan Lieberman, president of American Amusement Arcades, Lieberman's amusement and ATM route business, said in the press release.

D&R Star Amusement was founded over 59 years ago by Dick Hawkins, Jr., Mike's dad. The company operates a pool and dart league in addition to an amusement machine and ATM route.

Lieberman Companies is also a nationwide certified ISO processor. The company also conceptualized and founded Elsie's Place gaming cafés based in the Chicago area.
