Leatherman Tread Is First Wearable Multitool

PORTLAND, OR -- Some tools you just need, and then there are some tools you really want. Multitool pioneer Leatherman Tool Group Inc. has come up with one of those "I want it!" tools.

Each link of the stylish Tread, stainless steel bracelet, offers a different tool: Phillips and flathead screwdrivers, hex and box wrenches, socket drive, cutting hook and bottle opener. Adjustable and customizable, the Tread provides up to 25 different tools.

Leatherman says its new tool is safe to carry on airplanes.

It retails for $150 to $200, depending on style. Upgrade with the optional Swiss watch and the price jumps to $500-$600.
