Lazy Gourmet joins Compass Group Canada

Lazy Gourmet, a Vancouver, Canada-based catering company, has joined Compass Group Canada, according to a blog the company's website.

Lazy Gourmet customers will not see any change in the cuisine or the service, the blog stated. Susan Mendelson, who launched the company in 1979, will continue as the "guiding light" while Kevin Mazzone, general manager, will remain at the helm of more than 130 chefs, catering staff and event planners.

Jacques Webster, president of Eurest, a Compass Group sector, confirmed that Mendelson and Mazzone will lead day-to-day operations, according to the blog post.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
