Lavazza to acquire MaxiCoffee

Lavazza has agreed to acquire France-based MaxiCoffee for an undisclosed sum to strengthen its position in France and in e-commerce, according to Reuters.

MaxiCoffee is jointly owned by founder Christophe Brancato, Italian private equity group 21 Invest and other investors. The company employees around 1,500 people and operates around 60 retail outlets in addition to its e-commerce business.
