DALLAS, TX -- LAI Games' booth #2019 at this year's International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions in Orlando, FL, at the Orange County Convention Center Nov. 18-21 will host the launch of the company's Outnumbered game. The new game is accompanied by a Tournament Kit, designed as a premium marketing support tool.

Outnumbered is a competitive one- or two-player game designed to drive traffic to the venue by rewarding patrons every time they play. Players unlock new in-game content after each stage, and then then can use this content to create and upgrade custom weapons in the game's free companion app, Weapon Forge. Their progress is saved after each session, and by using the app to log in at the cabinet, players can pick up where they left off and use their new weapons in the game.

LAI points out that this creates a "revolving door" for repeat gameplay. Players also can use the app to find the closest game and track their career progress against live global leaderboards. It also encourages the organization of tournaments to increase repeat play.

The Tournament Kit comes complete with promotional materials, trophies, swag for participants, rules and best-practice recommendations on everything from event registration to the awards ceremony. IAAPA Expo showgoers can see the full kit on display and take part in the ongoing live tournament at LAI Games booth #1034.

"Outnumbered is a highly competitive game that's perfectly suited for tournaments," said LAI Games marketing director Tabor Carlton. "We saw a real opportunity to grow the community around the game and also give location owners a real marketing tool to drive traffic through their doors. We thought, what better way to show the value of our tournament kit than to hold a live tournament?"

The tournament will run from the opening of the Expo's doors on Tuesday, Nov. 19 until Thursday, Nov. 21 at 4:30 p.m. At that time, the scores will be compared. The winners will be announced at 5:00 PM, with a live awards ceremony.

LAI Games explained that the tournament is open to everyone, including those interested in learning how the tournament process works as well as those interested in some serious competition. Click here to register online for the IAAPA 2019 Outnumbered Tournament.

"We hope everyone in the arcade community registers for the tournament so they can experience the game from the perspective of the player and see what it has to offer," noted Carlton, "...if they're not scared of a little friendly competition."

LAI Games, a subsidiary of Helix Leisure, has been a leader in the interactive entertainment and game industry for more than 60 years. The company develops, manufactures, and sells coin and card operated virtual reality, prize merchandising, video and ticket redemption games, photobooths and novelties.

OUTNUMBERED: Slated for debut at the 2019 IAAPA Expo is this target shooter from LAI Games. Players unlock content as they progress through each stage of the game, and then can use a smartphone app to employ a "weapons forge" to create new weapons for use in the next stage of the game. The app also keeps track of their career progress on live leaderboards, and can direct them to the nearest Outnumbered location in their vicinity. A promotional tournament kit is available for the game, and a demonstration tournament will be held during the Expo.
