LAI Games reinvents basketball game for 2021

LAI Games has reinvented its classic arcade basketball game, Slam 'n' Jam, in a new format for 2021. The game features a 32-inch HDTV backboard that augments game play with a progress meter and score, along with game timer and the goal the player needs to progress to the next round, according to a press release.

Featuring an LED lit cabinet, a steel net and play-by-play commentary via the sound track, the game challenges players to race the clock to beat their goal in up to five rounds with local leaderboards adding another layer for competitive replay value. Players may go solo or link up to eight cabinets to play in VS mode.

The game also allows a winning player to carry teammates to the next round if they fail to complete their goal, where they can play for fun instead of tickets.
