LAI Games installs Hyperpitch in Japan

Round 1 Japan has installed LAI Games' baseball themed redemption game Hyperpitch in all its stores, with a total of 60 Hyperpitch units purchased through its distributor, Bandai Namco Technica, according to a press release.

Some modifications were made to the game to accommodate the Japanese audience. Pitching speed is measured in kilometers per hour rather than miles per hour, adjustments were made to the scoring matrix, the instructions were translated into Japanese and the games are amusement only, with no tickets being awarded.
