LONDON -- Tech startups Kwikpay, headquartered here, and Vendekin (Dover, DE) have partnered to launch in the U.K. an app that enables vending customers to select and pay via a touch-free cashless experience using their phones.
The plug-and-play solution does not require an overhaul of the vending machine or Internet connectivity at the machine. Additionally, it works seamlessly with any existing card readers and standalone vending management software already in use.
The app, called Quikvend, allows for multiple vends in a single transaction and provides instant refunds if the products are not dispensed. Operators can run loyalty programs, encourage repeat orders, run promotions and have end-to-end control and visibility of their vending operations, while brands gain a better understanding of their consumers' needs.
