DALLAS -- Following months of speculation, Dave & Buster's Inc. is now set to feature the latest version in Konami's popular dance videogame services. Dance Dance Revolution A, according to sources, will begin to arrive at Dave & Buster's locations this month.
First released in North America in 1999, Dance Dance Revolution, or DDR, remains the premier dance game in the coin-op market. Garnering a loyal following over the years, the game has inspired impromptu competitions around the world and inspired tens of thousands of YouTube videos. DDR A is the 15th iteration in the music videogame series.
To build excitement around the new release, Dave & Buster's has published a webpage to promote the arrival of the game, making it one of the few times a single game is expected to drive major traffic to a location. The new game, which is reported to include more than 650 songs, also arrives with a host of online features aimed at promoting repeat play and building an online community.
