LONDON -- Members of a malicious knife gang that allegedly robbed arcades and terrorized personnel throughout London have each been sentenced to more than eight years in prison. Ashley Samuel, 18, Yahya Ahmed, 19, and Mohamed Sayid, 19, received prison terms of eight years and four months for nine robberies between April, 2014, and July, 2014.

According to local law enforcement sources, the threesome used kitchen knives and a sharpened screwdriver to storm 24-hour gaming arcades across London, stealing a total of £27,700 (about $41, 975.89).

Court documents indicated that the teen gang targeted one arcade, City Slots, located on High Rd., Ilford, three times. Other location targets included Quicksilver Amusements (Ilford and Bethnal Green), Silvertime Amusements (Kilburn) and Cashino Amusements (East Ham, Barking and Wood Green).

The gang, which was captured on closed-circuit video surveillance, used taxis to escape, paying the unwitting drivers to wait for them nearby.
