Klondike is considering restoring the Choco Taco in response to fan reaction to its recent removal, according to a story in The New York Post.

Officials said the decision to remove the treat, a taco-shaped waffle cone with vanilla ice cream inside, partially covered with peanuts and milk chocolate, was based on the need to ensure availability in the company's product portfolio.

Company officials, in response to customer complaints on social media, have said they have listened to fans and will consider brining it back "in the coming years."

The treat was developed in 1983 by a Philadelphia ice cream truck driver, Alan Drazen, who eventually became a vending operator.
