KIND to acquire Nature’s Bakery

KIND, a healthy snack manufacturer recently acquired by Mars Inc., has entered an agreement to acquire Nature's Bakery, which makes fig bars and other soft-baked foods.

The company bakes its own bars with recipes using ingredients like sun-ripened fruit and whole grains to create snacks that are plant-based, nut-free, dairy-free and 100% Non-GMO Project Verified.

Chris Lansing will continue as CEO of Nature's Bakery reporting into Juan Martin, global president for KIND. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
