WATERBURY, VT -- Keurig Green Mountain Inc. and Dr Pepper Snapple Group signed a deal that will bring the soda-maker's popular brands to the Keurig Cold platform. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
As a part of the multiyear agreement, Keurig will be the exclusive producer of single-serve, pod-based carbonated Dr Pepper Snapple brands using fountain syrup for the Keurig platform in the U.S. and Canada.
The companies did not specify the brands that will be available from Plano, TX-based DPS. Its portfolio includes 7UP, A&W, Canada Dry, Crush, Hawaiian Punch, Schweppes, Squirt and Sunkist.
The pact follows Coca-Cola Co.'s agreement last year for its beverage brands to be offered in Keurig Cold. It also took a 16% stake in Waterbury, VT-based Keurig Green Mountain. In September, Keurig expanded its deal with Coca-Cola to sell the beverage company's Honest Tea pods in its hot brewers in North America.
The Keurig home cold drink system is expected to launch in the fall.
