Keurig Dr Pepper has laid off employees at the Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Café in Waterbury, Vermont, and is permanently shuttering the café which has been closed since March, according to a WCAX report

The company said the employees have been paid since March and many will continue to get some support, including severance packages.

The company did not say how many employees were affected, but the state labor department said it expects the number to be less than 50 since the company did not file a notice through the WARN Act.

The company says the layoffs will affect fewer than than 1% of its 26,000-person workforce, and that it is looking to fill 30 positions at its Williston and Essex facilities.
