Keurig Dr Pepper Canada has inaugurated a 602,000 square foot coffee-focused distribution center in Beauharnois, Quebec, according to a Grocery Business report. The facility, developed by OleaDev, significantly expands KDP Canada's distribution capabilities for coffee products, brands and coffee makers, including e-commerce.
The project, which began in 2023 with a 421,000 square foot footprint, underwent a 181,000 square foot expansion. The distribution center features 40-foot clearance, over 60,000 pallet positions, 77 loading dock doors and 75 trailer parking spots. The facility's operations and shipping are managed by DHL Supply Chain, creating 130 indirect jobs. The opening is part of KDP Canada's strategy to support growth and sustainability, alongside another distribution center in Balzac, Alberta, and its Saint-Michel, Quebec roasting and packaging plant.
"This inauguration marks a game-changing moment for Keurig Dr Pepper Canada as we open our largest distribution centre in history," Carl Saba, vice president of supply chain and operations, Keurig Dr Pepper Canada, told the news outlet. "It reflects our commitment to this market and our strategic vision for growth, enabling us to deliver quality coffee products while reducing our environmental footprint."
