K1 electric kart race track opens in Ohio

K1 Speed, an electric kart race track, has expanded to Ohio in Canton, the first location to feature a hybrid indoor/outdoor track, electric go karts, an arcade, an onsite Paddock Lounge eatery and a private event room, according to a press release.

The indoor-outdoor track inside K1 Speed Canton will allow racers to feel the air rush by them as the track meanders out of the building before returning back inside. On colder and wetter days, the outdoor section can be closed, allowing racers to still enjoy the indoor track.

A 16- by 9-foot LED screen will display the live timing of all racers on track.

Adults and teens will race in K1 Speed's Superleggero electric go karts, imported directly from Italy.

The arcade includes video games, pool tables, air hockey, basketball hoops and other options.
