Julys SALEX In São Paulo Is Canceled

SÃO PAULO, Brazil -- This year's South American Leisure Exhibition, or SALEX, has been cancelled. The amusement machine and attractions trade show was originally scheduled for July 26-28 in São Paulo, Brazil.

SALEX director Oscar Reginatto announced the cancelation at salex.com.br and on social media. He said the decision to cancel the 26th annual trade fair was based on "a thorough political and economic market analysis." He said that SALEX would be rescheduled in 2016. He added that the SALEX planning team is working on expanding the show's target audience and to explore the "games segment."

"The organization regrets the suspension of this traditional event, which for half a century seeks to gather news and amusement equipment launches," Reginatto said.
