JJ Foodservice, based in Innova Park, U.K., will invest more than 2 million pounds ($2.213 million) to install solar panels on the roofs of nine U.K. branches, according to a press release.
More than 2,000 panels will be installed across the roofs of Basingstoke, Bristol, Leicester and Dagenham branches. These are expected to generate an estimated 1,100,000 kWh annually.
Work on Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, Doncaster and Leeds will follow in 2023. The group already installed 2,000 solar panels across its Enfield and Sidcup branches in 2015.
