A vending machine that offers pearls has opened at the Miyashita Park complex in Shibuya, near Tokyo, according to a soranews24.com report.
Preno, a Tokyo-based company that operates vending machines for cosmetics, operates the machine that offers 20 different peal items from Japan's Uwakai Pearl Co.
The items in the machine, which displays the merchandise on a touchscreen, contain at least one Akoya peal, with prices starting at 1,500 yen ($14.20). The most expensive items, strings of pearls, cost 27,000 yen ($253.12)
The machine will be available through March 14, a date when men in Japan provide white hued gifts to women for Valentine's Day.
The machine accepts credit cards and payment by QR code.
