GRN, a Japan based vending company with operations in China, Australia and Vietnam, has big plans for Vietnam, targeting a network of 3,200 machines generating 1.7 billion yen ($1.33 million) in sales by 2027, three to four times the current scale, according to a Nikkea Asia report.

In Vietnam, GRN, which stands for Global Refreshment Network, will import used vending machines from Japan and deploy them following maintenance. In 2021, the company acquired a one-third stake in Astee Horie VN, a Japanese printing and painting company operating in Vietnam. GRN will use Astee's facilities to reassemble used machines.
