Japanese consumers welcome the Coca-Cola's app based subscription service for vending machines, according to a Japan Today report. Customers will be able to buy one drink per day for 2,700 yen ($25) per month from 340,000 vending machines.
The Coke ON Pass service is scheduled to go live in mid-April. Customers who sign up before May 31 can do so at half price.
Customers can save more than half the cost of Coke per month using the subscription service.
Japanese consumers interviewed acknowledged the savings, but some felt that it was designed to encourage daily consumption.
