CARLSTADT, NJ -- H. Betti Industries Inc. has hired James Liess Jr. as senior director of marketing. He brings more than 10 years of experience in marketing and communications. The company is parent to Betson Enterprises, the nation's largest distributor of vending and amusement equipment, with 14 offices nationwide.
 
Liess will be driving marketing and communication initiatives and is responsible for developing, executing and assessing B2B marketing strategies for all divisions.
 
Before joining Betson, he was basketball communications coordinator and senior coordinator of community and player programs at the National Basketball Association where he managed public relations for some of the leagues' marquee events. He also worked for Haier, a multinational consumer electronic and home appliances company, for more than 10 years, where he led the company's U.S. marketing arm.
