VERNON HILLS, IL -- Incredible Technology reports that its Golden Tee 2018 model, the latest development in the long-lived Golden Tee Golf franchise, is benefiting from an aggressive new time-release update schedule.

The game, introduced in October of last year, began to receive an ongoing cavalcade of new content in November with the launch of new balls and club sets, a new type of Spin called "Release," and expanded Closest to the Pin and Money Shot game modes. Two all-new 18-hole courses were  downloaded in December and March, bringing the number of new courses to seven. More clothing achievements were released in February, and a third wave is set for June. In March, more variety was added to the daily contest, and online qualifying for the Golden Tee World Championship got under way.

The next time-release milestone is set for April. Once implemented, it will update the original five 2018 courses with all-new tee positions on nearly every hole.

"We are committed to keeping players interested in Golden Tee throughout the year," said IT vice-president of amusements Don Pesceone, who heads up the Golden Tee team.  "Delivering new features and surprises at key points throughout the year is engaging players longer than ever, which in turn benefits operators with a strong cashbox."

The new tee positions, which are scheduled to launch automatically on Monday, Apr. 2,  will mean that every course will offer a new, different look at the hole, creating new skill opportunities.  Some par 3 holes may become par 5 and vice versa.

"This is a bold new experiment," said Pesceone.  "After six months of playing the courses, we are resetting the bar.  Players will have to re-learn the courses and master new shots and strategies.  If this proves popular we could be in for a nice bump in earnings on par with the initial update release."

Moreover, World Championship qualifying runs through Apr. 11 by means of online Prize Play, followed by special qualifying events on Apr. 23, 26 and 27.  The live Golden Tee World Championship is scheduled for The Orleans Casino in Las Vegas, NV, on June 8 through 10. More than $100,000 will be awarded.
