Iron Maiden Speed of LightThe classic heavy metal band is promoting its new double LP "The Book of Souls" by employing a classic videogame look. The 8-bit videogame theme is evident in the music video for the song "Speed of Light" in which Iron Maiden's mascot, Eddie (aka Eddie the Head), is sucked into an arcade game. The band continues the theme with a free-to-play videogame at its website.

Closely resembling Donkey Kong, the multi-level game features Eddie, who players control to try to rescue a woman in distress as a villain throws such heavy objects as TV sets, potted plants and flaming tires down on him.

Developed by Last 17, the game is configured like a coin-op video in which players use a joystick and two buttons. It also has a mute button.

Formed in 1975, Iron Maiden is one of the longest lasting of the classic heavy metal bands. "Book of Souls" is the group's 16th studio album.
