Irish railway to test onboard vending machines

Irish Rail, which operates Ireland's national railway network, plans to test vending machines on the Cork-Dublin route, consisting of eight trains, according to an Irish Examiner report. The service will acquire nine machines with one to be held as a spare.

The machines will stock soft drinks, snacks and confections, and will go out for bid in July.

The machines will only accept card payment.
