Irish farmers seek to add more milk vending machines

Dairy farmers in Ireland are joining the milk vending movement that began in Europe and the United Kingdom, according to an Agriland report.

Ireland's department of agriculture is currently reviewing 10 applications for milk vending machines, according to Kieran Holloway, marketing manager at Nesty, an Ireland based vending machine distributor.

Vending machines can offer skim milk, semi-skimmed milk and full fat milk, Holloway said, depending on the content of the storage tank in the machine.
