Daalchini Technologies, a New Delhi-based startup which provides home cooked food to businesses through contactless vending machines, plans to raise $8 million in the next two to three years to expand beyond its current base in 10 cities, according to an outlookindia.com report.

Prerna Kalra, co-founder and CEO, said the company operates 440 vending machines in 10 cities. The company has more than 190 franchises, more than 34 cloud connected kitchens and 100 brands on its platform.

During the pandemic, the company sees opportunity in installing its vending machines at hospitals, where some of its machines are already being deployed.

Kalra said the company is refilling its machines three to four times a day in hospitals.

The company employs female entrepreneurs to cook the food through a "chef-at-home" initiative. Customers can place orders using the company's app.
