CLARENCE, NY - Innovative Concepts in Entertainment reports that its Tons of Tickets and Whack a Clown games introduced at last fall's International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions expo are now in production and shipping.
Tons.of Tickets is ICE's first skill ticket crane. The company reports that the game's wide appeal to patrons and operators has led to extensive backorders. Customers are attracted by an LED screen with video animations that engage them and walk them through the determination of the number of tickets they win in each game. Especially appealing to operators is a self-reloading feature. Once the game is set up and loaded, it automatically transports the bundles of tickets back onto the playfield.
Tons of Tickets can be enjoyed as a single-player game, but ICE believes it does best in its a two-player format, with a highly-visible "ticket tower" marquee rising on a support between the two player stations, giving the ensemble a powerful presence on location.
"The game has been thoroughly tested throughout many different FEC concepts," said ICE president Joe Coppola. "It has been a Top 10 game everywhere, without fail."
Whack a Clown, also now in full production, is the latest entry in ICE's Carnival series. Also introduced at the recent Attractions Expo in Florida, it's described as "not just an average whacky game" – it adds a new dimension and dynamic with LED-illuminated clown heads. Players compete against others trying to hit as many clowns as possible while avoiding the red clown, which slows down the player if struck. The game thus is a genuine test of skill, with dramatic head-to-head competition for players of all ages.
"Again, this game was shown at IAAPA and we have since done extensive testing," Coppola said. "We're thrilled with the results." Like Tons of Tickets, Whack a Clown can be operated as a single player, the ICE president explained; "but we are really seeing fantastic revenues when it's presented as a two- or three-player with a marquee. It really becomes more of an attraction that the whole family can play together." The bonus marquee attracts players from across the gameroom, he reported; "and once they start playing, we've seen the repeat play on the game is amazing."
Whack a Clown is designed to permit as many as four games to be coupled with a linked marquee which encourages competitive play. In both the single- and multiplayer games, players strive to surpass the bonus score in order to to win the bonus.
"Both Tons of Tickets and Whack a Clown received great reviews at IAAPA, and now we're aggressively in production," Coppola concluded. "These are both games we know will have an immediate positive impact on any FEC." He expects them to remain in the ICE lineup for many years to come.
Innovative Concepts in Entertainment is exhibiting in Booth #423 at the 2019 Amusement Expo International, which is taking place at the Las Vegas (NV) Convention Center on March 27 and 28.
