HyperVend, a Boston-based vending equipment manufacturer, has introduced its next generation of smart vending machines for food and beverages which includes an optional API to connect with last-mile delivery partners such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grub Hub and Instacart, according to a press release.
The new HyperVend HV-FB line allows food brands to sell products at ambient, chilled or frozen temperatures, or combine two temperature zones into one unit.
The machine's software allows operators and locations to track the live inventory status of each food item using RFID technology.
A machine can be custom branded with a retailer's brand and connect to their local point of sale or ERP system on the back end to monitor all sales in real-time using a smartphone.
In addition, the on-demand software can use dynamic pricing to adjust the price of each product automatically based on availability or aging.
"Today marks the next evolution in how food brands interact with consumers," Alex Frost, HyperVend's CEO, said in the press release. "Just as with our North American clients, retailers worldwide can now sell more products using less labor by leveraging advanced sales automation from HyperVend."
Units are now live in the U.S., UAE and Saudi Arabia and will be rolled out in Canada, Mexico, Spain and nine other countries in 2024.
