IRVING, TX -- Nautilus Hyosung America (Hyosung), the largest ATM provider in the U.S., said that the U.S. International Trade Commission has issued its final determination confirming Diebold Nixdorf's latest line of financial industry products that incorporate ActivMedia technology -- specifically Diebold's 7700, 7780, 7790 and 9900 ATMs -- infringe Hyosung's patents.

In the July 14 decision, the USITC found Diebold Nixdorf infringed Hyosung's U.S. Patent No. 8,523,235. ActivMedia technology provides critical automated deposit features with a reportedly highly efficient design for the processing and depositing of mixed bundles of cash and checks, while avoiding the dangers accompanying overlapped bills. Based on its finding, the ITC issued orders that bar Diebold Nixdorf from importing or selling ATMs containing Hyosung's patented technology in the U.S.

Headquartered in Irving, TX, Nautilus Hyosung America is the North American subsidiary of South Korea's Hyosung Inc., a global ATM leader. Since entering the North American market in 1998, Hyosung has become the largest ATM provider in the U.S.
