Hostess, Flowers, Grupo Bimbo are possible buyers of embattled Aryzta

Hostess Brands, Flowers Foods, Grupo Bimbo and Japan's Yamazaki Baking are reportedly mulling buying Aryzta, an Irish/Swiss based specialty bakery with global operations, according to an IrishTimes report.

Hostess Brands acquired Aryzta's Cloverhill facility in Chicago in 2018.

Cobas, Aryzta's largest investor, and shareholders led by the Swiss group Veraison Cobas, want to replace the current board in a bid to reverse Aryzta's earnings decline.
