Hormel Foods Corp to acquire supplier, Sadler's Smokehouse

Hormel Foods Corp. has agreed to acquire Texas-based Sadler's Smokehouse, a family-owned business specializing in pit-smoked meats for retail and food service customers. Hormel Foods has been a customer of Sadler's Smokehouse for over two decades, according to a press release.

Sadler's Smokehouse will continue operations from the Henderson, Texas facility and will report to Hormel’s refrigerated foods segment. The transaction was structured as an asset sale and is expected to close in March this year, subject to customary closing conditions.
