Hershey shifts production operations, to lay off 77

The Hershey Co.'s new 800,000-square-foot warehouse in South Annville Township, Pennsylvania, which began operations in late October, will assume certain production work at the company's East Coast Distribution Center in Derry Township, resulting in the layoff of 77 of the facility's 228 employees, according to a pennlive.com report.

The layoffs will begin on Jan. 31, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry.
