Glen Mills, Pa.-based technology company HeroVend has launched a cloud-based vending intelligence platform designed to give operators real-time visibility into their business performance, according to a press release.
The system connects to existing vending hardware through supported APIs, consolidating sales, inventory and cost data into a single dashboard without requiring new equipment or dedicated IT support. Company officials said the platform aims to provide smaller operators with the same level of data-driven insight typically available to large retailers.
The platform's dashboard updates automatically, allowing operators to monitor revenue, profit and margins across individual machines or entire fleets. Users can drill down into transaction-level data and configure detailed cost inputs, including product costs, transaction fees, taxes, and revenue-sharing agreements. This enables operators to track profitability at a granular level and make more informed decisions about product mix and machine performance.
At the core of the system is an AI-powered assistant, Hero AI, which analyzes operational data and responds to natural language queries. The tool also includes automated anomaly detection, flagging issues such as declining sales, inactive machines or sudden changes in purchasing behavior. A daily AI-generated briefing summarizes performance trends, highlights potential problems and suggests operational adjustments, positioning the system as a virtual business analyst for vending operators.
HeroVend also includes real-time inventory tracking, automated low-stock alerts and warehouse management tools, along with mobile and offline functionality for field use. The platform offers tiered pricing starting at $49 per month and is available with a demo environment for prospective users.
