Robusta coffee harvests in Brazil are improving as fields reach maturity, according to a Reuters report.
Brazil's Robusta production has been rising in recent years as trees are more resistant to dryness and heat compared to Arabica.
Conab, Brazil's food supply agency, sees the Robusta crop increasing 4.1% to nearly 17 million 60-kg bags this year. Some estimates are as high as 20 million bags.
Local roasters have boosted the amount of Robusta beans in blends to escape higher Arabica prices.
