Haribo, a manufacturer of gummi snacks, plans to develop a 136.8-acre property including a manufacturing, office and warehouse space in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, according to a Kenosha News report.
The village's Plan Commission recently approved the plans, which mark the company's first manufacturing facility in North America.
The first phase includes a 487,400-square-foot production building with a three-story storage/mechanical area and a two-story assembly and administrative area.
Haribo expects to have 450 full-time employees in the production facility, 44 in the warehouse and 20 part-time employees.
Groundbreaking is planned for September, with the first phase completed in April of 2022.
